About Us

Echo Valley Arabians began in 1994 when the Hesse family acquired their first Arabian horse, RS Praise.

Praise was followed by several other horses and ponies, and boarders were also added to the Echo Valley location in Bentonville.

Karen Hesse soon began teaching family, friends, and neighbors the basics of horsemanship and riding.

Her number of students continued to grow until it became a full-time job of riding lessons and day camps.

Now located just west of Centerton, Echo Valley continues to be a place of fun and relaxing outdoor acitivity with horses and other farm animals.

Our lesson students generally take weekly or bi-weekly lessons, and participate in fun shows at the farm before trying out local horse shows and events.

Campers at Echo Valley often soon become students, as well as returning to Camp year after year, sometimes helping out as they become older!

Winter lessons at Echo Valley are sometimes indoors in our classroom, where students learn and explore topics such Equine Science, and Equine Art & Literature.

Karen has her AAS in Graphic Design from NWA Community College; she utilizes these skills from her schooling and work experiences in both Echo Valley’s camps and indoor winter lessons.

As a former homeschool student, Karen is excited over Arkansas’ EFA program, enabling homeschool families to provide horseback riding as extracurricular activities to their children.
